The benefits of TRT are real, but they are concentrated in a specific group: men with clinically confirmed low testosterone and matching symptoms. For these men, replacing a deficient hormone can meaningfully improve quality of life. For men whose levels are already normal, the evidence for benefit is weak while the risks remain, which is why TRT is not an enhancement product.
Before you weigh benefits, it helps to be sure you are in the group that stands to gain. That means testing, as described in our overview of TRT.
